Product Details

This Lake Superior Agate nodule is in its naturally found state, with a bit of mineral oil added to increase luster. This small nodule could have been part of a larger piece, and shows red agate with white banding.

Approx.: 1.5" x 1.25" x 1"

1.28oz

Lake Superior Agates, commonly called Lakers, most often come from Minnesota, Michigan's Upper Peninsula, or northwestern Wisconsin. Lakers are believed to be the oldest agates and are found already displaced and partially tumbled as the result of glacier movement through the Superior trough, disrupting the agate beds and transporting them for potentially thousands of miles.
